In Troy, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Virginia, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Troy keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. The owners plant all of their seeds and take very good care of them. They are very affordable as well (just a heads up, they only accept cash or checks). My daughters loved talking with the owners. Such a nice place. Will definitely be back!

Great small local business that raises their own plants off season. 35 years of growing. We bought pretty - not seed grow - geraniums that we shall enjoy all Summer. Found a kangaroo paw which will be fun! Go early in April to see all their plants cause there is not a lot left at this very popular spot.
